All About e-Bill

e-Bill Basics

e-Bill is WCJC's official method for sending student account statements, replacing paper statements (or bills). The Business Office will periodically post new electronic statements to the student's secure online account. When new statements are available, students and their designated authorized users receive email notifications and can go online to view the current statement and make payments.

All student's account charges, including tuition, room, board, health insurance, course fees, and other miscellaneous fees, will be on the e-Bill and available for viewing and printing via the Internet.

e-Bill Benefits

The benefits of e-Bill include:

  • e-Bill is provided at no additional cost to conveniently access bills and make payments.
  • Payments made online are posted to the student account immediately.
  • Services are available 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
  • Services are private and secure.
  • Access to online payment history.
  • Ability to schedule future payments, print an e-bill, and make additional copies of e-bills for employers who offer company reimbursement.

e-Bill Payments

Checks should be made payable to Wharton County Junior College. Please include your WCJC Banner ID number on the check. Checks may be mailed to:

Wharton County Junior College

Attention: Business Office

Repeated Courses Tuition Charges FAQ

Texas residents will pay the out-of-state tuition rate for any course taken three or more times. This includes courses where you withdrew and received a “W” or courses that were awarded a grade.

The following types of credit hours are exempt and are not subject to the “Repeated Courses Tuition Charges” Policy above:

    1. Credit hours for remedial and development courses, if the coursework is within the 27-hour limit.
    2. Credit hours for courses that involve different or more advanced content each time they are taken, including but not limited to: individual music lessons, theater practicum, music performance, ensembles, certain physical education and kinesiology courses, and studio art.
    3. Credit hours for independent study courses.
    4. Credit hours for continuing education courses which must be repeated to retain professional certification.
    5. Credit hours repeated in the final semester or term before graduation, if the credit hours are taken for the purpose of receiving a grade that will satisfy a degree requirement. This exemption applies for only one semester or term.

If you believe that you should receive an exemption from the higher tuition rate, contact the Office of the Registrar and request an appeal form. You have seven (7) days from the start of the term in which that course is offered to appeal the higher tuition rate. You will be notified via your WCJC email regarding the outcome of the appeal for exemption.

If your appeal for exemption is denied, you must appeal the decision within five (5) business days of receiving notice. An appeal should be submitted in accordance with Administrative Policy FLD using the Student Grievance Form.
