Bacterial Meningitis Requirement

MedProcter LogoTexas State Law requires all college students under the age of 22 to be vaccinated against bacterial meningitis or provide an exemption request declining the vaccine.  The vaccination must have occurred 10 days prior to the start of classes and registration is blocked for students until they are in compliance with this requirement.

Wharton County Junior College has partnered with Med+Proctor to review and approve vaccination record(s) and medical exemptions. Please click here to create an account with Med+Proctor. There are no fees for submitting documentation unless you choose to do so for the services that Med+Proctor offers.

There are three (3) ways to document compliance with the bacterial meningitis requirement.

Submit any of the following using the Med+Proctor portal:

1. Official Vaccination Record(s)
2. Medical Exemption - Only a doctor (MD/DO) can write a note explaining why someone can't get vaccinated. The signed note is only valid for one year unless your doctor states that you have a life-long condition.
3. By Conscientious Objection - Affidavits must be notarized. Do not modify in any way before submission to the Med+Proctor portal.
