Applying to WCJC is free, easy, and completely online. Follow the steps below based
on your student type. If you have any questions, contact our Admissions team today!
If you are a student that is new to WCJC, complete these four steps and become a Pioneer
today!
Step 1
Submit your online ApplyTexas Application using the "Two Year/Community College" option and select “Wharton County Junior College”.
Be sure to click "Submit" at the end of your application to ensure that your information
is sent to WCJC. Just remember, you're not done until you see the confetti!
Once your application has been submitted to WCJC, you will receive an email with your
WCJC ID and a link to your admissions status. Be sure to check your spam folder if
you do not see an email from us.
Submit Your Official High School/College Transcripts
Step 2
Submit all official education records, including GED certificates, high school and college transcript(s),
and/or homeschool records. Official records must be sent directly from your school
or delivered in a sealed envelope. Official transcripts can be sent via email to admissions@wcjc.edu or via USPS to 911 Boling Hwy, Wharton, TX 77488.
Unofficial/unsealed copies received directly from students will not be accepted.
Step 3
Send us your official TSI assessment scores or proof of TSI exemption (SAT, ACT, STAAR,
scores, etc.). If you have not taken the TSI or aren’t sure if you’re exempt, contact
the Testing Center. Official test scores must be sent directly to WCJC through CollegeBoard or another test administrator.
Official scores (not copies) can be sent via email to admissions@wcjc.edu or via USPS to 911 Boling Hwy, Wharton, TX 77488.
Step 4
Bacterial Meningitis immunization records are required for students 21 years of age
and younger. Immunizations must be current (no older than 5 years) and are required
for any student who is taking a course on campus or living in the residence halls.
Upload vaccination record here or send them directly to admissions@wcjc.edu. Scanned copies/pictures of vaccination records are considered official.

Alternative student populations, including dual credit, readmits, transient, and workforce,
should follow their specific admission requirements.
Dual Credit or Early Admission
Current High School Students
If you want to take college classes while you’re still in high school, follow these
steps:
- Complete your ApplyTexas application.
- Submit your proof of TSI exemption (may be submitted by the high school).
- Submit your Bacterial Meningitis Immunization record if you’re taking classes on a
WCJC campus.

Readmitted Students
Students Returning to WCJC After Two or More Years
If you previously attended WCJC but have not taken classes in two or more years, follow
these steps:
- Complete your ApplyTexas application.
- Submit official transcripts from any other college(s) attended since leaving WCJC,
if applicable.
- Submit your Bacterial Meningitis Immunization record if you’re 21 years old or younger
and taking classes on a WCJC campus.
Welcome back, Pioneer! Once you have completed the application process, contact a
WCJC Academic Advisor at 979-532-6516.
Transient Students
Students Currently Enrolled at Another Institution
If you are currently enrolled at a four-year institution but would like to take additional
classes at WCJC for a single semester, follow these steps:
- Complete your ApplyTexas application.
- Submit a Transient Student Enrollment form.
- Submit your Bacterial Meningitis Immunization record if you’re 21 years old or younger
and taking classes on a WCJC campus.
If you are taking classes as a transient student, you must submit a new Transient
Student Enrollment form prior to the start of each semester.
Non-Credit Training
Students Interested in Community, Workforce, or Adult Education
Contact our Department of Continuing Education for a wide range of non-credit educational opportunities to the community and local industry.
Whether you are looking to start a career, enhance your current skills, try a new
hobby, or just have fun, we have something for you!
Contact our Department of Adult Education and Literacy for programs such as English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, High School Equivalency
(HSE) preparation courses, Transitions to College/TSI courses, and Integrated Education
and Training courses for adults who reside within Wharton County Junior College service
areas
