You'll complete all sections of the TSI on a computer at the Testing Center. It's an untimed test, but most students complete it in about four hours.
You cannot bring anything into the testing room with you and cannot access internet
sites, computer programs, calculators, dictionaries, translators, cell phones, or
other electronic devices during the TSI test. An on-screen calculator is accessible
for some math questions during the TSI. Any violation of WCJC Testing Center policies
will invalidate your test.
We encourage you to study before taking the TSI. Try the free study app on the Accuplacer Student Portal (select "TSIA2 Practice Resources for Texas Students").
Students who plan to attend WCJC but took the TSI at their high school or another college can transfer their scores to WCJC by completing the TSI Cross-Institutional Score Submission Request Form.
