The DAISY Foundation

The Diseases Attacking the Immune System (DAISY) Foundation was established in 1999 by the Barnes family, who sought to honor the memory of their 33-year-old family member, Patrick, who died of an auto-immune disease. Inspired by the compassionate care Patrick received, the Barnes family wanted to help support the students on their way to becoming life-changing caretakers.

Each year, the DAISY Foundation provides the Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students who demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional clinical care. We’re proud to partner with the foundation to support future nurses on their career pathways.
