NISOD EXCELLENCE AWARDS RECIPIENTS

Wharton County Junior College faculty members were recently recognized by the National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD). WHARTON, TEXAS – Wharton County Junior College instructors have been recognized for their dedication and commitment to their particular fields of study by the National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD). Nine WCJC faculty members will receive NISOD Excellence Awards for 2020 at the International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence this May in Austin.

Honorees include:

  • Archna Bhasin – Instructor of Biology
  • Rudolph Henry – Program Director and Instructor of Nuclear Power Technology
  • TaQuita Hogan-Claiborne – Instructor of Paralegal Studies
  • Jennifer Jeffery – Instructor of Biology
  • William “Bill” Johnson – Instructor of Sociology
  • Karen Lescure – Instructor of English
  • Yvonne “Bonnie” Maschek – Instructor of Vocational Nursing
  • Natalie Pittman – Instructor of Computer Science
  • Jesi Ramirez – Instructor of Developmental Math

NISOD’s Excellence Awards recognize men and women each year who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and contribution to their students and colleagues. This year’s recipients will be celebrated during NISOD’s International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence, May 23-26 in Austin. Each recipient will receive a specially cast, pewter medallion. Names, titles and colleges of all award recipients will be included in the event’s booklet.
