SAFE SPRING BREAK - Event highlights dangers of intoxication

Wharton County Junior College hosted a Safe Spring Break event on March 6 at the Pioneer Student Center on the Wharton Campus. Students and staff were able to visit with area emergency response agencies while engaging in drills, demonstrations and simulations designed to highlight the dangers of drunk driving and texting while operating a motor vehicle. Pictured is student Michael South of Rosenberg trying to perform a field sobriety test while wearing "Fatal Vision" goggles, which simulate intoxication.
