Wharton County Junior College will host a ribbon cutting at the Richmond Campus at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26. The event is a celebration of the recent completion of a $1.75 million expansion and renovation project.
WHARTON, TEXAS – Wharton County Junior College is hosting a ribbon cutting in celebration of the completion of the Richmond Campus Renovation and Expansion Project.
Scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the WCJC Richmond Campus, 5333 FM 1640 in Richmond, the event will include a ribbon cutting and brief remarks by special guests. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.
Speakers will include State Representative Phil Stephenson, State Senator Lois Kolkhorst, City of Richmond Mayor Evalyn Moore and WCJC President Betty McCrohan.
The Richmond project entailed the renovation of 9,000 square feet of space and the construction of a new 3,600 square foot wing in order to expand the Cosmetology and Process Technology programs. Project cost was $1.75 million, not including equipment and furnishings.
