The Wharton County Junior College's Continuing Education Department provides a wide range of non-credit training and educational opportunities to the community and local industry. Whether you are getting started in the workplace, advancing your career, enhancing your current skills, or working to meet licensure/certification requirements we have a program for you!

Continuing Education Career Pathways

ABC Child Care Conference

When: Saturday, February 23, 2019
Time: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm; Check-In at 7:30 am
Where: Wharton County Junior College - Pioneer Center, 911 East Boling Hwy., Wharton, Texas 77488
Registration Fee: $60, lunch provided; Must be postmarked by February 1st; No on-site registration


The ABC Child Care Conference provides a program structure where child care providers and directors can enhance their knowledge and skills, and meet state-mandated training requirements. This program emphasis on early childhood through elementary level development.

7 Clock Hours Provided
Participants must stay the entire day to receive the 7 clocks hours. No partial clock hours can be given.

HARVEY Fast-Track Training

Financial assistance is available through Workforce Solutions for those that qualify. 

WCJC is now offering micro-trainings to get individuals employed quickly in industries that can assist with Hurricane Harvey rebuild. Click here to learn more!
