Twenty students recently earned their Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Wharton County Junior College. WHARTON, TEXAS – Twenty students have earned their Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Wharton County Junior College.

A pinning and lighting ceremony was held on Dec. 12 at the Pioneer Student Center on the Wharton campus. Program Director Dr. Andrea Shropshire provided the welcome and presented the class to the audience.

Top honor graduates were Rebecca Rios of Richmond and Jacqueline Williams of Houston. Graduates named to the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society were Rios, Williams, Shannon Biles of Sugar Land, Samreen Haris of Sugar Land, Sarah McCoy of Sugar Land, Serena Shelby of Richmond and Kirsten Thomas of Houston.

Other graduates included Hanna Balcazar of Sugar Land, Claire Carter of Bay City, Karen Pitta Lima Erevia of Deer Park, Ian Evans of Houston, Lauren Hodges of Needville, Lauren Mills of Palacios, Skylar Mitchell of Blessing, Miranda Molina of Fresno, Mark Montalvo of Rosenberg, Claudia Valeria Rion of Sugar Land, Vanessa Rodriguez of Lake Jackson, LaTasha Smith of Fresno and Michael Valencia of Sugar Land.
