Nineteen students have graduated from Wharton County Junior College’s Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program.

Nineteen students have graduated from Wharton County Junior College’s Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program. WHARTON, TEXAS — Nineteen students have graduated from the Wharton County Junior College Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program. A ceremony was held on Aug. 13 at the Wharton campus.

Graduates included:

  • Fort Bend County — Valeria Aceves of Missouri City, David Garcia of Needville, Jennifer Lopez of Rosenberg and Chelsea Villeda Hernandez of Rosenberg,
  • Jackson County — Justine Cruz of Edna and Hannah Miller of Edna
  • Matagorda County — Jimena Isidoro of Bay City, David Mandujano Jr. of Bay City and Monica Munoz of Bay City
  • Wharton County — A'Lainna Alameda of Wharton, Dez'Nashay Allen of El Campo, Kylie Creager of Louise, Daisy De La Pena of El Campo, Kayla Hebert of Wharton, Jinae Johnson of Wharton, Caitlynn Lara of Wharton, Veronica Loredo of El Campo, Laci Malik Cruz of Wharton and Jacinda Marshall of El Campo

Outstanding award recipients included:

  • Blooming Clinician Award — Jimena Isidoro of Bay City
  • DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Student — Jinae Johnson of Wharton

The LVN program is a certificate program that utilizes classroom and clinical instruction to prepare graduates for employment as a member of a nursing team. The program is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing (BON).
