WHARTON, TEXAS — Twenty-one students recently graduated from the Wharton County Junior College Vocational Nursing (LVN) program. A ceremony was held on Aug. 14 at the Wharton campus.

Graduates included:

  • Austin County — Amanda Macias of Sealy
  • Fort Bend County — Samantha Acevedo of Rosenberg, Stacy Andrews of Rosenberg, Karolyn Carter of Needville, Khusbu Patel of Richmond, Brianna Resendiz of Beasley, Fatmata Turay of Richmond and Christian Valdepenas of Sugar Land
  • Matagorda County — Karly Brown of Bay City, Brian Deleza of Markham, Mya Hill of Bay City, Kate Longoria of Blessing
  • Wharton County — Cheyenne Bustamante of El Campo, Linda Espitia of El Campo, Kaitlyn Galvan of El Campo, Martha Gonzalez of East Bernard, Jade Goode of Wharton, Cassidy Haggerton of Boling, Valerie King of Wharton and Tammy Sedillo of El Campo
  • Victoria County — Kenneth Hunsicker of Victoria

The LVN program is a certificate program that utilizes classroom and clinical instruction to prepare graduates for employment as a member of a nursing team. The program is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing (BON).
