WHARTON, TEXAS – Wharton County Junior College will host a Community Day – Stem 101 event this summer to highlight careers and educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math.
The event is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 29, in the foyer outside the Outlar Auditorium in the Johnson Health Occupations Center on the Wharton campus.
Educators, parents, influencers and community leaders are all invited to attend and learn more about STEM careers. The event includes a Continental breakfast, tours, presentations, and door prizes. The event is hosted by WCJC and sponsored by the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station Nuclear Power Institute.
