The Wharton County Junior College Board of Trustees recently recognized Phil Stephenson for his years of service as a state representative and as a WCJC Board of Trustees member. Stephenson served for 10 years as a member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 85 and previously served for 16 years as a board member. WCJC President Betty McCrohan noted that Stephenson was a longtime friend and supporter of the college and presented him with a plaque.
