Wharton County Junior College Board of Trustees members are officially sworn in by 329 th District Judge Randy Clapp at the May 17 board meeting. Dr. Bret Macha, left, and Dr. Priscilla Metcalf, center, began new terms of service, elected earlier this year to serve in Position 9 and Position 1, respectively. Macha is an analytical chemist for Shell while Metcalf operates Wharton Eye Associates. Board member Larry Sitka, right, was sworn in for a second term, serving in Position 2. The owner of Larry Sitka Signs and Wharton Steam Laundry, Sitka was first elected to the board in 2016.
