SCIENCE ON SATURDAY SHOWS HOW SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING CAN BE FUN

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – The Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) Nuclear Power Institute has partnered with Wharton County Junior College, Texas State Technical College, South Texas Project and Spark! to provide a one-day “Science on Saturday” community event at the Bay City Center for Energy Development campus.

“Science on Saturday” is designed to ignite an interest in experiments, hands-on activities and demonstrations on a variety of science and engineering topics. The event is free and open to K-12 students, parents, educators and community members.

When: Saturday, Oct. 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Wharton County Junior College Bay City Campus, 4000 Ave. F, Bay City, Texas 77414

Activities: STEM hands-on activities, make-and-take work stations, science demonstrations, tours of Wharton County Junior College facilities.

Media Opportunities: Staff and students from the Nuclear Power Institute will be available to talk to media.
