WCJC ATHLETES EARN ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS

WHARTON, TEXAS – Wharton County Junior College baseball players have been recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association for classroom achievement.

NJCAA All-Academic Teams for 2020-2021 were recently announced, with recipients divided into three categories: First Team for those earning a perfect 4.0 GPA, Second Team for athletes earning between a 3.8 and a 3.99 GPA, and Third Team for those earning a 3.6 to 3.79 GPA.

WCJC athletes earning All-Academic honors included:

• First Team – Kevin Black of Bellville
• Second Team – Stanley Tucker of Richmond
• Third Team – Criztian Delgado of Kingsville, Luke Haas of Pearland and Jackson Kiddy of Sweeny

The NJCAA also recognizes Baseball Academic Teams of the Year for overall team GPA. WCJC’s baseball program was 70^th out of more than 700 teams with a 3.15 GPA.
