Wharton County Junior College has named its Faculty of the Year and Support Staff of the Year. Chosen as the Faculty of the Year is Director of the Associate Degree Nursing Program Dr. Andrea Shropshire. Picked as the Support Staff of the Year is groundskeeper Armando Terronez. Both employees received plaques and $2,000. A wards are usually announced at the college's annual employee banquet, but that event was canceled this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
