WCJC BASEBALL GAME RELOCATED TO WHARTON

March 23, 2021

WHARTON, TEXAS – The Wharton County Junior College Pioneers Baseball Team’s game against Galveston College on Tuesday, March 23, has been moved to Corbett Park in Wharton due to inclement weather.

The 9-inning game was originally scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. in Galveston but had to be relocated due to a torrential rainstorm that saturated the Gulf Coast Region early Tuesday morning. WCJC Athletic Director Keith Case said the Whitecaps’ field was submerged.

The game has been relocated to Corbett Park in Wharton. Start time is still 6 p.m. COVID-19 precautions will be in place.

Case said the Pioneers are having a great season so far. WCJC has a 16-11 overall record and is currently 8-2 in conference, second place behind Region 14 rival San Jacinto College.

Anyone unable to attend the game can still catch the action at www.tsrnsports.com
