PINKED OUT FOR CANCER - WCJC Senior Citizens Program observes Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Wharton County Junior College Senior Citizens Program staff took time out of their busy schedules recently to “pink out” in recognition of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink ribbons and the color pink in general are often used as a means of drawing attention to the devastating disease, which, according to the American Cancer Society, will claim the lives of more than 40,000 women in the United States in 2020 alone.
