WHARTON, TEXAS – The Wharton County Junior College Pioneers Baseball Team will travel to Beaumont this weekend to compete at the Region XIV Tournament and a chance to make the National Junior College Athletic Association World Series.
The regional tournament, hosted by WCJC, will be held at Vincent Beck Stadium on the Lamar University campus in Beaumont from Sunday, May 12, to Thursday, May 16. The Pioneers’ first game will be against Panola College at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 12.
The games will be broadcast by the Texas Sports Radio Network at: www.tsrnsports.com
If the Pioneers win their first game, they will compete against either Alvin Community College or Bossier Parish Community College on Monday, May 13.
The overall winner of the tournament will advance to the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.
