Wharton County Junior College Athletic Director Gene Bahnsen is pictured with just a few of the dozens of trophies won by the teams he coached or oversaw as athletic director in his 60 years with the college. WCJC's gymnasium will now be named in honor of Bahnsen for his dedication to the college and successful coaching career, with a special ceremony scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at the gymnasium, located on WCJC's Wharton campus.
