WHARTON, TEXAS – Twenty-eight students have earned their Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Wharton County Junior College.
A pinning and lighting ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 9, at the Pioneer Student Center on the Wharton campus. Program Director Dr. Andrea Shropshire provided the welcome, presented the ADN Class of 2018 to the audience and also made the closing remarks.
Valedictorian of the Class of 2018 was Stephanie Young of Weimar. Salutatorian was Morgan Bendik of Rosenberg. Graduates named to the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society included Bendik, Young, Alyssa Hernandez of Eagle Lake, Tania Herrera of El Campo, Jalen Jackson of Stafford, Osheia Loving-Robinson of Richmond, Katie Meyer of Needville, Minerva Rosado of El Campo and Danielle Turner of Richmond.
