WHARTON, TEXAS – Wharton County Junior College students were recognized for their
classroom achievement at the annual Academic Recognition Ceremony, held recently at
the Pioneer Student Center on the Wharton campus.
Instructors and administrators presented students with departmental awards for outstanding
achievement in particular fields of study. Students were also honored for achieving
a high grade point average (GPA), with 65 students receiving Honors Certificates for
earning a minimum 3.75 GPA and 16 students receiving Highest Achievers of Academic
Excellence Certificates for achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Students receiving departmental awards included:
