Sean Amestoy has coached rodeo at WCJC for 26 years and was named NIRA Southern Region Coach of the year in 2001. Sean’s personal rodeo experience includes 15 years as a Bareback rider at the youth, amateur and professional ranks. As a student at Tarleton State University, Sean competed in the NIRA for four years. Sean earned a Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business from Tarleton State University and a Master of Science in Agriculture from Sam Houston State University. In his long list of accomplishments at WCJC, Coach Amestoy has produced 104 CNFR Event Qualifiers, 4 CNFR National Championships, 4 NIRA Southern Region Team Champions, and 41 NIRA Southern Region Event Champions.

Phone: 979-532-6453Casey Halderman has coached rodeo at WCJC for 10 years. He was also on the WCJC collegiate
rodeo team and qualified for the college finals. In 2006, his team was ranked 2nd
in the nation. He is a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)
and qualified for the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) multiple times.
He continues to participate in rodeo events as a team roper.
