Club Spotlight:  Gaming Club
The purpose of the Gamers Lounge is to promote fellowship and comradery for WCJC and UH students. The club plays video, card and board games at the weekly meetings. The weekly meetings are every Friday from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm in the Student Lounge, in Brazos Hall, on the Sugar Land campus. There are also monthly gaming tournaments where students get to demonstrate their skills at gaming for prizes. All are welcome.

Club Spotlight: Human Services Club

The Human Services Club provides many opportunities within our communities which reflect the dynamic field of Human Services. The club acts as a mutually supportive community of students who share an interest in human services, helps to create and enhance the professional identity of prospective human service workers, and encourages involvement and personal interactions between students, faculty, and the community at-large. The Club assist in providing students with opportunities to participate in professional and educational programs, establish and carry out community service projects, fund-raise in support of special projects, and network with community-based service providers.  Members of this club must be a Human Services major and enrolled in Human Services courses.

All Programs

Phi Theta Kappa recognizes academic achievement at community colleges. PTK offers support from fellow scholars of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and fields of study. To be eligible for PTK, you must:

  • Be enrolled at WCJC in an associate degree or certificate program
  • Have completed at least 12 hours of coursework towards an associate or bachelor's degree or at least 6 hours of coursework toward a one-year certificate
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50.

Participate in Student Senate

Join the Student Senate and have a say in what happens on campus. Senate is composed of all members of the student body. The officers of the Student Senate are the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, parliamentarian, historian, and representatives from each of their classes. 

Senate meetings are open to all students and are held monthly. Watch the Campus Announcements emails for dates, times, and locations of all Senate meetings and events.
