Mrs. Smith received her B.S. from Mississippi State University.  She taught high school for five years and earned her M.Ed. from Mississippi College.  Mrs. Smith became a full time instructor with Wharton County Junior College in 2009. She has taught College Algebra, Trigonometry, Mathematics for Business & Social Sciences, Calculus for Business & Social Sciences, Precalculus, and Calculus I.

Mrs. Green received her B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Texas A&M University in 2017. Mrs. Green has been teaching as a full time faculty member for WCJC since Fall 2018. She has taught Beginning Algebra, Beginning Algebra with a support course, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra and its support course, Elementary Statistics and its support class, Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences.

Dr Keahey earned a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University. She earned a second M.S. in Mathematics from the University of West Florida. Her PhD is in Learning Technologies from the University of North Texas. Her years of teaching experience include both in person and online classes at the secondary, under-graduate, and graduate levels. Among the math courses she has taught are: Developmental Math, Contemporary Math, Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences, College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. She began teaching for WCJC in Fall 2020.

Mr. Knodel holds a Master of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Texas State University.  He has an undergraduate minor in Political Science.  Mr. Knodel has previously taught at Blinn College as a Professor of Mathematics and Texas State University and University of Houston-Clear Lake as a Full-time Lecturer of Mathematics.  He has taught Calculus I, II, and III, Differential Equations, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, College Algebra, Calculus for Business and Social Science, and Finite Mathematics.  He joined the faculty at WCJC as a Full-time Instructor of Mathematics in 2019.

Ms. Mathews received her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Science in Malaysia and her M.S. in Mathematics from Texas State University.  She started teaching at WCJC in 2019.  Prior to coming to WCJC, she taught Math courses in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She has taught Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences, Trigonometry, Calculus I and the Support Course for Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences.

Mrs. Mauch received her B.S. from Louisiana State University in 2000, and earned her M.Ed. degree from Texas State University – San Marcos in 2009. She was a Secondary Mathematics teacher (grades 7 – 12) for 10 years before becoming a full-time instructor for Wharton County Junior College in 2012. She has taught Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences, Calculus for Business and Social Sciences, and Precalculus.  Mrs. Mauch received the 2016 WCJC Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Mr. Mehr received his B.A. in Mathematics from Adrian College in 2015 and his M.S. in Mathematics from Northern Arizona University in 2017. He taught at Northern Arizona University from 2015-2018. Mr. Mehr joined the WCJC faculty in fall 2018. He is currently teaching Beginning Algebra, College Algebra, Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences, Contemporary Mathematics and the support course for Contemporary Mathematics.

Mrs. Moore received her B.S. from the University of Utah in 2001She earned her M.Ed. from University of Texas at Arlington with Emphasis in Math Education in May of 2021.  Mrs. Moore began her career with WCJC in 2014 teaching in Adult Education. Mrs. Moore started teaching with the Mathematics Department on a part-time basis in 2017 and became a full-time instructor in Fall of 2019. She has taught Beginning and Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Elementary Statistics, and support courses for various classes. She also holds a Master's in Social Work.

Dr. Mutua earned a B.S and M.S. in Mathematics from University of Texas at Dallas in 2009 and 2010, respectively and his Ph.D in Developmental Education from Texas State Univesity in 2018. Prior to teaching at WCJC, he taught mathematics at Dallas Community College (Richland campus) and Huston-Tillotson University.  Dr. Mutua has taught developmental and credit-level courses. Dr. Mutua started teaching for WCJC in Fall 2018. He has taught College Algebra, Trigonometry, Math for Business & Social Sciences, and Precalculus.

Mr. Price earned both his B.S and M.S. in Mathematics from Stephan F. Austin University. Before he began his teaching career, Mr. Price worked as a geophysicist for various oil companies. He then taught math at ITT Technical College for 9 years. Mr. Price has taught Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, and Calculus for Business and Social Sciences for WCJC since Spring 2017.

Dr. Shagroni received his Master’s degree in Mathematics from Rice University. He received his PhD in Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. Mrs. Silverstone has a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree from Hunter College (CUNY) in the areas of Mathematics and in Secondary Math Education. She has taught high school and then became a full-time Lecturer at Bergen Community College teaching Developmental Mathematics from 2009 to 2014. She has been a full-time Math Instructor at WCJC since 2014. She teaches College Algebra, Trigonometry, Mathematics for Business & Social Sciences, and Calculus for Business & Social Sciences.

Ms. Su received her B.S. from A&M University-Kingsville in 2009, and earned her M.S. degree with Applied Mathematics from A&M University-Kingsville in 2013.  She was a Secondary Mathematics teacher for six years and a college level mathematics teacher for three years before coming to Wharton County Junior College in 2019.  She has taught Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences, Calculus for Business and Social Sciences, and Pre-Calculus.

Mohamad Barada

Mr. Barada graduated from LSU in 1986 with a BS in Electrical Engineering and from Louisiana Southern University in 1987 with a Master degree in Mathematics. He has been teaching at the high school level since 2001. He started teaching at WCJC in 2012. He has taught College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1, and Calculus 2.


Deborah Barnett

Mrs. Barnett received her B.A. degree and teacher certification from Incarnate Word College and earned her M.A. degree from the New School for Social Research.  She continued with post-graduate studies in Mathematics at the University of Houston.  Mrs. Barnett has been a part time instructor for Wharton County Junior College at Tidehaven High School since 2006. She currently teaches College Algebra and Trigonometry.


Lindsay Buckingham

Ms. Buckingham received her B.S. in Math at Baylor University in 2011 and her M.S. in Mathematics at Louisiana State University in 2013. She spent time doing further work in Applied Mathematics at the University of Maryland in Baltimore before teaching at WCJC in Fall 2015. She has taught College Algebra, Math for Business and Social Sciences (online and face-to-face), Calculus for Business and Social Sciences, Calculus I, and Statistics (online and face-to-face).

Ms. Dick received her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Education, and her MS in Applied Mathematics from Texas Tech University. She has been teaching college math full-time for over 20 years and has been teaching online courses part-time for Wharton since the spring of 2017.


Henry J. Grimm

Dr. Grimm received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston in 1973. In March 1978, he received his Doctorate in Chemical Engineering/Mathematics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. While working for over 30 years as a process engineer with several large corporations, he has also been an adjunct instructor of mathematics and science (physics & chemistry) since 2004 at various community colleges including Lehigh Carbon Community College and Strayer University in Allentown, PA. Since 2016, Dr. Grimm has been an adjunct instructor of mathematics and process technology at several Houston Community College (HCC) campuses, and Lone Star College-University Park (LSC-UP), teaching College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Business Mathematics. At WCJC-Sugar Land, he has taught Trigonometry, Calculus I, and Calculus II.


Keith Johnson

Mr. Johnson has a Bachelor's Degree from Concordia University at Austin and a Master’s Degree from Southern Arkansas in Mathematics Education.  He currently teaching at Fort Bend ISD, but has also taught at Lubbock ISD, Flour Bluff ISD, and Somerset ISD.  Prof. Johnson has also taught dual credit courses with South Plains Junior College and Houston Community College.  Since 2015, at WCJC, he has taught College Algebra and Mathematics for Teachers I & II. 


Kenneth Osore

Mr. Osore received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Houston in Victoria in Spring 1995. In Fall 2001, he received his Masters of Arts degree from University of Houston Victoria. Mr. Osore currently teaches for Edna ISD. Mr. Osore has been teaching at Wharton County Junior College since 1997. He has taught College Algebra, Trigonometry, Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences, Calculus for Business and Social Sciences, Statistics, and Calculus.


Matthew Sandoval

Mr. Sandoval received his B.A. in Mathematics and his M. A. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 and 2011, respectively.  He also received his M.Ed. in Sports Management from the University of Texas in 2021.  Mr. Sandoval has been a math teacher in secondary education in verious school districts in Texas.  He has taught Finite Mathematics I, Finite Mathematics II, College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers. Mr. Sandoval joined the WCJC faculty in Fall 2020.

Mr. Sapolucia received his BSEE degree from University of Colorado, Denver. He received his M.SC degree from Prairie View A&M University. Mr. Sapolucia taught as a full-time instructor of Mathematics at Prairie View A&M University. Mr. Sapolucia has been teaching Precalculus, Calculus I & II, and Statistics courses at Wharton County Junior College since 1989. He is also an adjunct instructor of Mathematics at University of Houston - Downtown. 


Shannon Simon

Mr. Simon received a B.S. in Mathematics Education from McNeese State University in 2006. He also holds a M.S. in Statistics (2010) from the University of Houston Clear Lake, along with an M.Ed in Instructional Leadership (2012) from the University of St. Thomas. He has been teaching high school math for 12 years.  Mr. Simon has been teaching Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Statistics, Precalculus at WCJC since Summer 2017.


Burak Yilmaz

Dr. Burak Yilmaz received his B.S. in Mathematics from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. He completed his master's in Math Education from University of Central Oklahoma and his doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of Missouri, Kansas City. Dr. Yilmaz has more than 13 years of teaching experience at both high school and college level. Dr. Yilmaz started teaching at WCJC in 2016. Dr. Yilmaz has taught both developmental and credit level math courses, including Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Statistics, Precalculus, Mathematics for Business & Social Sciences, and Calculus for Business & Social Sciences.
