Mrs. Smith received her B.S. from Mississippi State University.  She taught high school for five years and earned her M.Ed. from Mississippi College.  Mrs. Smith became a full time instructor with Wharton County Junior College in 2009. She has taught College Algebra, Trigonometry, Mathematics for Business & Social Sciences, and Calculus for Business & Social Sciences, Precalculus, and Calculus I.

Anna Casteen received her B.S. degree in mathematics from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and her M.A.T. with an emphasis on secondary mathematics from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY. She taught for 8 years in New York city public schools, and then taught Adult Education Math, Beginning Algebra, Contemporary Mathematics, and College Algebra at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth for 5 years. She joined the WCJC faculty in Fall 2021.

Ms. Guillory holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Lamar University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California. She taught developmental mathematics at Houston Community College and Lone Star Community College from 2003 – 2021. Ms. Guillory joined the WCJC faculty in Fall 2021, and she is currently teaching Beginning Algebra along with its support course.

Tina Gustavus graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a math specialization. Prior to becoming an instructor at WCJC, she taught Beginning and Intermediate Algebra at Texas State Technical College and GED math at McLennan Community College in Waco. Mrs. Gustavus has taught part time for WCJC in the past and became a full time instructor in 2019.

Melissa Moore

Mrs. Moore received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Utah and taught sixth grade mathematics before returning to graduate school. She received her Master of Social Work from Stephen F. Austin University. Mrs. Moore has taught at WCJC in the Adult Education and Learning Department and as an adjunct teaching developmental mathematics.  She became a full time instructor in 2019.

Ms. Ramirez received her Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She previously taught at both the high school level and at a community college in Kentucky before joining the faculty at WCJC in Fall 2018. At WCJC, she has taught Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and support courses for Beginning Algebra, College Algebra, Contemporary Mathematics, and Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences.

Ms. Deleza received her Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.  She has taught over 16 years at WCJC and over 25 years in public school.  Ms. Deleza teaches Beginning and Intermediate Algebra for WCJC.

Kimberly Kirby

Mrs. Kirby holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University. She worked for 15 years for NASA as an Aerospace Technologist. Since 2011, Mrs. Kirby has taught mathematics and served as a department head at a private high school in Sugar Land.  She has taught Beginning and Intermediate Algebra at WCJC since Fall 2017. 

Michelle Lanoux

Ms. Lanoux holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Houston and holds a Texas Teacher Certification for Math 8-12. She retired after 13 years of experience teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre-AP Algebra 2, AQR, and AP Statistics at Kempner High School in Sugar Land, Texas.  Ms. Lanoux is also a retired Regional Vice President with AT&T. She has taught Beginning and Intermediate Algebra at WCJC since Spring 2016.
