Mission Statement
As an integral academic component of the Visual and Performing Arts Department, the
Theater Department's mission is to investigate the art of theatre and performance, it"s practice,
history, and meaning within an educational program that prepares students to contribute
as artists, educators, audience, and supporters of the arts.
Our program is designed to help create the complete theatre student. We hope that after two years of study, each student will have gained experience in performance, construction, and design. All productions are designed and built by students under the supervision of the theatre director. Whether or not you have ever used a hammer, threaded a needle, or delivered a monologue on stage, we will challenge you to explore and experience each of these opportunities to help discover your hidden talents and interests.
We have many exciting opportunities for students and we offer scholarships to assist students in pursuing their educational goals. We look forward to helping you pursue your dreams.
