Mrs. Drabek received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Wharton County Junior College in 2012.  She completed her Bachelor in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2014.  She has worked as a RN at OakBend Medical Center on the Medical-Surgical Unit and the Skilled Nursing Unit as a floor nurse and a charge nurse for almost 6 years.  Mrs. Drabek was a part-time Clinical instructor for Wharton County Junior College since 2018.  She started as a full-time employee in January 2020 teaching Pharmacology and Clinicals II and III.  Mrs. Drabek became the Director of the program in August 2021 currently teaching Basick Nursing Skills and Advanced Nursing Skills.

Ms. Beair received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Roger’s State University in 1999. Since receiving her RN, she has worked for a criminal justice center for 2 years and as a charge nurse for a Medical-Surgical nursing unit for 4 ½ years. Ms. Beair is a full time Vocational Nursing instructor for Wharton County Junior College since August, 2004. She currently teaches Basic Nursing Skills, Medical-Surgical Nursing I and II, Advanced Nursing Skills, Professional Development and Clinicals I, II, and III.

Mrs. Mascheck received her Associate Degree of Nursing in 1992. Previously, she was employed as Department Manager of Respiratory Therapy for 13 years by various Texas hospitals. Since receiving her RN, she has been a charge nurse for the Medical-Surgical unit and I ntensive Care unit of local hospitals. She has also been employed as the Director of Nurses in a nursing home. Mrs. Mascheck has been a Vocational Nursing instructor for Wharton County Junior College since August, 2006. She currently teaches Foundations of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing I, Gerontology, Pharmacology, Professional Development, Advanced Nursing Skills, and Clinicals I, II, and III..


Wanda Taylor, BSN, RN

Mrs. Taylor received her Associate Degree of Nursing in 1986 from Victoria Junior College.  She worked in various local hospitals as a Charge Nurse for Med-Surg, ICU, Rehab, and ER.  Four years were spent in Home Health.  Many years were spent as House Supervisor.  She has also been employed as the Director of Nurses for a nursing home.  In 2015, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.  Mrs. Taylor joined Wharton County Junior College as a Vocational Nursing Instructor in 2021 and currently teaches Health Science, Maternal Nursing, Pediatrics, and Clinicals I, II and III.
