Two members of the Wharton County Junior College Pioneers Baseball Team recently signed to play Division 1 baseball next fall. Trey Valka, a right-handed pitcher from Spring, signed to play at Tulane University. Josh Salinas, a left-handed pitcher from Corpus Christi, signed to play at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
