Our Wharton Campus features dorms, a cafeteria, a gymnasium and fitness center, and is the home of our fine arts and athletics programs, as well as many vocational programs from nursing to automotive technology. All degree and certificate programs, as well as many Continuing Education courses, are offered in Wharton. WCJC also offers a wide range of performing arts opportunities and student life activities for all students to participate in.  

 

Frankie Hall

Mullins, Brooking and Frankie Halls offer a convenient location for on-campus housing that is located near the cafeteria and the J.M. Hodges Library.

The Duson-Hansen Fine Arts Building houses the Horton Foote Theatre, named after Wharton’s famous Pulitzer-prize winning playwright Mr. Horton Foote. The theatre hosts performances of the WCJC band, choir and drama students each semester. Art shows are offered in the Duson-Hansen Fine Arts building, bringing yet another opportunity for student expression and helping foster a truly creative environment.

 

Johnson BuildingThe Johnson Health Occupations Building is home to many allied health programs including dental hygiene, licensed vocational nursing, associate degree nursing, physical therapy assistant, radiologic technology, and Emergency Medical Services Program. WCJC offers students patient simulation experiences in a state-of-the-art simulation lab. The simulation experiences combined with high-quality instruction increase student learning and marketability in the rapidly growing health care fields.

 

Peace Building

The LaDieu Technology Center, the Carl N. Reynold Building, and the J.R. Peace Building host a wide variety of academic and technical courses as well as vocational lab facilities. Overall, the campus spaces provide a beautiful setting with state of the art facilities to create a picture-perfect learning environment that supports student achievement.

The Wharton Campus is located on the corner of FM 1301 and Alabama Road in Wharton, Texas. Visit the campus today to see all that Wharton has to offer.

If you are traveling south from the Houston area on   I-69 / Highway 59 take the Highway 60 exit and turn left toward Wharton on Highway 60 / Business Highway 59. Turn left at the first stoplight onto the Boling Highway, FM 1301, and travel approximately one half mile south to find the Wharton campus on the left side of the road.
