Welcome to Wharton County Junior College Security and Public Safety Department

Wharton County Junior College Office of Security and Public Safety's priority is to provide a safe and secure environment for all persons including students, faculty, staff, guest of and visitors to the campus.  We believe that safety is a shared responsibility among the Security department, college employees, students, visitors and the community, therefore "If You See Something, Say Something".  We are concerned about the safety and welfare of all persons on campus and are committed to providing such an environment in which to learn, live and work.

On the Wharton Campus we are located in the Security Building next to the Pioneer Student Center, and in the lobby at the Richmond Campus.  We patrol the campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing around the clock protection.  We coordinate all requests for assistance relative to crime, including threats, theft, personal safety, medical emergencies, harassment, fire, vehicular mishaps, catastrophic weather emergencies and other related matters.

Criminal actions or emergencies may be reported directly by college employees, students and visitors.  We want you to feel secure and safe when on our campuses.  We stand ready to assist you in any way possible to assure your safety and to help you achieve your goal of a college education.

You will find information on this website regarding safety regulations, parking, vehicle registration and other general information.  We encourage you to take some time to review this information.

Sincerely,
