Marketing, Communications, and Advancement

The Office of Marketing, Communications, and Advancement communicates the many stories of Wharton County Junior College through graphic design, Web content, advertising, publications, public relations, events, and other communications and media. Students, employees, and members of the community are encouraged to view Wharton County Junior College's press releases, photo gallery, website, and social media pages to learn more about the many achievements, events, programs, services, and the latest news at the college.

Additionally, this office serves as a clearinghouse to avoid the duplication of materials that are released to the public, to maintain a consistent policy with regard to the standard and quality of publicity, and to ensure contacts are coordinated through one central location.

Marketing Services Guide

This guide should be used to plan in advance for preparing and submitting a Marketing Services Request.  Requests may include art for specialty items, flyers, collateral materials, brochures, social media posts, logos, news releases, photography services, marketing displays, social media posts, and more. Publicity Release Form

The college requires Publicity Release forms be signed and held on file for any person or their property represented in photographs, videos, or their remarks represented in connection with Wharton County Junior College.  This includes, but is not limited to, publicity, illustration, advertising, social media content and website content. Publicity release forms related to social media should be held on file with secondary social media page administrators. Publicity Release forms for projects related to quotes for the website are required to be submitted to the webmaster prior to the quotes being published and also required to be held on file with content publishers.  Publicity Release forms for all other projects should be held on file with the department head.  Click here to access the form.
