Student success is a top priority of Wharton County Junior College. The WCJC Board of Trustees has created the Pioneer Restart Debt Forgiveness Program, a student debt forgiveness plan for students wishing to register for the Spring 2021 semester. Students owing $500 or less on their WCJC student account may apply for a one-time waiver of student debt. The forgiveness is based on enrollment for classes for the Spring 2021 semester and class attendance through the official census date. The Fall 2020 term is not eligible for debt forgiveness. Students who received a debt forgiveness in a prior year are not eligible.
To apply for the waiver, complete and submit the online application form prior to 5:00 p.m. January 12, 2021. Please contact the Business Office at BusinessOffice@wcjc.edu or by phone at 979-532-6941 for any questions.
