Employment: Needville Independent School District
Why I became a WCJC trustee: I was asked by my community and believe that an affordable, quality community college is beneficial to our future. It is very important that Needville as well as other areas of the WCJC system have representation. I want to be a member that will communicate the vision and opportunities to not only my local community, but the entire WCJC community.
What I like most about being a WCJC board member: Listening to the concerns both positive and negative and discussing resolutions and alternatives that can encourage a continued quality education for now and the future.
WCJC benefits the community by: Offering a quality education that is affordable and located in areas that are convenient.
How my experience with WCJC has affected my life: Since being appointed to the board, I can honestly say that I have a greater appreciation for the community college system and the positive impact it has in our communities. WCJC has a long history of offering a great education and multiple opportunities to its graduates. Quality instructors have encouraged graduates to become successful. The graduates have not only impacted Texas, but our country.
When I became a board member: I was appointed to the board on Sept. 24, 2019.
