Meet the Faculty

Muna Saqer, Ph.D.

Program Chair and Instructor of Information Technology and Networking

Dr. Saqer has over eight years of teaching experience and fourteen years of Information Technology industry experience.  She earned a Ph.D. in Technology and Engineering - Computer Science from NCU in San Diego, California.  She also has a M.S. in Software Engineering from University of Houston-Clear Lake and a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Houston-Downtown.

J.B. Groves III

Instructor of Information Technology and Networking

Mr. Groves has more than 25 years of professional experience and 20 years of teaching experience. He has published numerous articles and lab work related to his background and teaching at WCJC. Holding a number of certifications in network and system administration, Mr. Groves specializes in and teaches these areas.

David McDaniel

Instructor of Information Technology and Networking

Mr. McDaniel has more than 18 years of professional experience, including broadband networking, mapping, configuration, testing, installing, and troubleshooting data circuits. He helped design and create large-scale, high-speed data circuits.

Amelia Maretka

Ms. Maretka has more than 40 years of teaching experience. Her focus areas are security, Windows server and client operating systems, Linux server and client operating systems, virtualization, and computer applications.
