Dr. Loessin received his B.S. and M.A. from Sam Houston State University, ABD from Texas A&M University, and Ph.D. from Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica. He came to WCJC in 1989 from The University of Louisiana at Monroe where he was a Lecturer of Sociology from 1986-1989. He teaches SOCI 1301: Introduction to Sociology, SOCI 1306: Social Problems, SOCI 2319: Ethnicity and Identity; SOCI 2326/PSYC 2319: Social Psychology, ANTH 2346: General Anthropology, as well as ENGL 1301: Composition I, ENGL 1302: Composition II, ENGL 2322: British Literature I, ENGL 2323: British Literature II, ENGL 2333: World Literature II, and HUMA 1301: Introduction to Humanities.

Dr. Sherrod received her B.A., M.A. Prairie View A&M University and her J.D. from Texas Southern University. She has been on the Sociology teaching faculty at Wharton County Junior College since 1991. Having served as a former Department Head for Social and Behavioral Sciences and two terms as Faculty Council Chair. Previously, Dr. Sherrod worked at Prairie View A&M University where she served as Associate Director of Career Planning and Placement and later, as Associate Director of Student Activities. Dr. Sherrod teaches SOCI 1301: Introduction to Sociology, SOCI 1306: Social Problems; SOCI 2319: Ethnicity and Identity; SOCI 2301: Marriage and Family Relationships.

Mr. Baylor received his B.S. from Sam Houston State University and his M.A. from Our Lady of the Lake University. He has taught at WCJC since 2008. Currently, Mr. Baylor teaches SOCI 1301: Introduction to Sociology.

Mr. Johnson received his B.A. from Baylor University and his M.S.S.W. from the University of Texas. He has taught at Wharton County Junior College on a part time basis since 1993. He currently teaches SOCI 1301: Introduction to Sociology, SOCI 1306: Social Problems, SOCI 2301: Marriage and Family Relationships, and SOCI 2319: Ethnicity and Identity. Mr. Johnson also teaches SOCI 1301: Introduction to Sociology by ITV to area high schools for WCJC dual-credit students.

Ms. Nicholson- Arbuckle received her B.S. and M.A. from California State University--Dominguez Hills and is currently a PhD. Candidate, University of Houston—Clear Lake. She has been an adjunct Instructor for Wharton County Junior College since 2003 and teaches Sociology 1301: Introduction to Sociology; Sociology 2319: Ethnicity and Identity.
