Varun Gupta

Mr. Gupta has earned a BBA, Management, West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, an MBA, Texas Southern University, Houston, TX and an MS, Accountancy, University of Houston, Houston, TX. Mr. Gupta has been teaching accounting at WCJC since 2007, and began teaching Principles of Macroeconomics in the Fall 2010.

Ms. Lehman received her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from TCU, and her MA in Public Administration and a JD from UNC-Chapel Hill. She has taught economics, government, criminal justice, and legal research at the college level. She also has teaching experience at the middle and high school levels and says college economics is her favorite thing to teach. She is a member of the Gulf Coast Economics Association and the Texas Community College Teachers Association. Ms. Lehman teaches Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics at WCJC.


 

Part Time Instructors

Charles Newton

Mr. Newton received a B.A. with majors in Russian and French from Baylor University. He has also earned and M.B.A. from Texas A&M – Texarkana and an M.A. in Economics from Texas Tech University. Mr. Newton is currently Assistant Department Chair in Economics at Houston Community College – Southwest. In addition to teaching at HCCS and WCJC, where he is an adjunct instructor, Mr. Newton previously taught at The Art Institute of Houston, LeTourneau University, South Plains College and The Victoria College. Mr. Newton teaches Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics.


Nate Udall

Mr. Udall has earned a Bachelor of Arts, in History and Political Science, Texas Tech University, and a Master of Public Administration, Emphasis: Financial Management and Policy, Texas Tech University and a Master of Arts, Economics, Texas Tech University. In addition to WCJC, Mr. Udall has taught economics at Houston Community College and Lone Star College in Houston. Outside of teaching, he specializes in environmental and natural resource economics.


Lara Garib

Ms. Garib teaches Economics 2301 and 2302 online joining the WCJC Economics Department in 2012. She earned her M.A. in Economics and M.S. in Geographic and Cartographic Science from George Mason University with a B. A. in Economics and in History from Limestone College.
