Dr. Kam Chu received his Ph.D in Physics (Experimental Condensed Matter Physics and Superconductivity) from University of Houston.  Subsequently, he did his postdoctoral fellowship at Texas Center for Superconductivity, a world-class material science research institute.  He was an information technology consultant of oil and gas and health care industry for several years.  He has more than 15 years teaching experience in college level courses.  He began teaching for WCJC in 2013.  At WCJC, he teaches College Physics I/II and University Physics I/II.

Dr. Yagci received her Ph.D. in physics from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX) in 2012.  She joined the full-time WCJC physics faculty in August 2016.  She teaches College Physics I/II and University Physics I/II courses at the Sugar Land, Richmond and Wharton campuses.

Dr. Romashets received his Ph.D from Moscow International University in 1988.  He has extensive experience as a research astrophysicist.  Dr. Romashets teaches College and University Physics.

Dr. Ramiro Acevedo

Dr. Acevedo joined the full-time WCJC chemistry faculty in August 2011 after completing his Ph.D. in applied physics at Rice University.  He is also a graduate of the University of Houston, earning a B.S. in chemistry.  Dr. Acevedo has taught both chemistry and physics courses at WCJC.

 

Dr. Xuan Wu

Dr. Wu received her M.S. and D. Eng. in electrical engineering from Lamar University, Texas.  She joined WCJC physics faculty as a part-time instructor in August 2014
