Gene Bahnsen

Mr. Bahnsen received his B.S. in Physical Education Degree in 1955 and his Masters Degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation in 1956 from North Texas State University.  After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he began teaching and coaching at W.C.J.C. in 1959.  He currently teaches Activity Kinesiology classes.

Keith Case obtained his Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a minor in Mathematics from Mississippi State University.  He obtained his Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Mathematics and Kinesiology from William Carey College.  Coach Case was previously at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, MS for 21 years before joining WCJC in 2013 as the head baseball coach.  He teaches Persona/Community Health and First Aid

Peggy Fitt has a M.A. degree in Physical Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She has been a Kinesiology Instructor for WCJC since 1998. Currently, she is teaching Foundations of Kinesiology, Drug Use/Abuse, First Aid and Health. Also, she has taught activity classes including Aerobics and Weightlifting.


Brianna Florus

Brianna Florus obtained her B.A. degree in Psychology with a minor in Exercise Sport Science at Texas Tech University in 2006. She attended and played volleyball at Blinn College in Brenham before transferring to Texas Tech University on a full volleyball scholarship. She previously coached summer camps at Texas Tech University and served as a head volleyball coach for Lubbock Volleyball Club before being hired as WCJC’s head volleyball coach in 2007. In 2009 she was selected as Coach of the Year for Region XIV, District M. Coach Florus is also an instructor of Aerobics and Co-Ed Volleyball.  Coach Florus is also an instructor of Aerobics, and Introduction to Physical Fitness and Wellness.

Ms. Krutilek received her Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science from Upper Iowa University in 1996.  She obtained her Master's Degree in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State University in 2001.  Ms. Krutilek joined WCJC in the Spring 2017.  She currently teaches Introduction to Physical Fitness and Wellness at the Sugar Land campus.


Mrs. Dawn Matejceck

Mrs. Dawn Matejceck has been a certified fitness instructor for over 13 years. She is certified through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America since March 1997. Mrs. Matejceck has been part of the WCJC faculty since November 2004. Mrs. Matejceck teaches Aerobics I and II in Wharton and Sugar Land and Weightlifting and Advanced Weightlifting in Sugar Land


Brent Schmidt

Mr. Schmidt received his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Winona State University in 2003.  He obtained his Master's Degree in Physical Education from the University of Houston in 2012. Mr. Schmidt joined WCJC in the fall of 2016.  He currently teaches Introduction to Physical Fitness and Wellness at the Sugar Land campus.

Ryne Tutor

Ryne received his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Coaching Education with a minor in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He obtained his Master's Degree in the Art in Teaching and Physical Education from the University of West Alabama.  Ryne joined WCJC in 2014 as an Assistant Baseball Coach.  He currently teaches Foundations of Kinesiology.
