HUMA 1301 Introduction to Humanities. (Core 040)                 3:3:0

An interdisciplinary, multi-perspective assessment of cultural, political, philosophical, and aesthetic factors critical to the formulation of values and the historical development of the individual and society.
Prerequisites: TSI satisfied in Reading and Writing      

SPAN 1311 Beginning Spanish I      3:3:2

Includes grammatical principles and vocabulary, audio-lingual presentations of dialogues, conversation, and study of culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
Prerequisites: TSI satisfied in Reading and Writing or concurrent enrollment in Read 0307.

SPAN 1312 Beginning Spanish II      3:3:2

Continued development of basic Spanish language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing within a cultural framework. Students acquire the vocabulary and grammatical structures necessary to communicate and comprehend at the high beginner to low intermediate level.

Prerequisite: TSI satisfied in Reading and Writing or concurrent enrollment in Read 0307.

SPAN 2311 Intermediate Spanish I      3:3:0 (Core 040)

The consolidation of skills acquired at the introductory level. Further development of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Emphasis on comprehension, appreciation, and interpretation of the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
Prerequisites/Co-requisites: SPAN 1312

SPAN 2312 Intermediate Spanish II      (Core 040)

Continuation of SPAN 2311. The consolidation of skills acquired at the introductory level. Further development of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Emphasis on comprehension, appreciation, and interpretation of the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
