Dr. Nealy received her B.A. in English from Prairie View A&M University, an M.A. in English from Texas A&M University, and completed her Ph.D. in education at Texas A&M. She began teaching English full-time at Wharton County Junior College in 2002, became Department Head of College Readiness (formerly Developmental Studies) in 2010 and continues to serve in that capacity. Dr. Nealy teaches both INRW (Integrated Reading and Writing) and English courses.

Mrs. Appling received her AA degree from WCJC, a BBA from Sam Houston State University, and an MEd in Reading from the University of Houston –Victoria. She has taught at WCJC for more than twenty-five years, and includes in her courses of expertise: ESL; GED preparation; resumè writing; and job skills. She has taught READ 0306, READ 0307, and ENGL 0307 on the main campus; now teaches INRW 0306 and NCBI 0306.

Dana Bramble received her degree in education from Southwest Texas State University and has 17 years of teaching experience. She has been teaching full time at WCJC since 2001. Mrs. Bramble has taught ENGL 0307, READ 0306, and READ 0307; she now teaches INRW 0306 and NCBI 0306. Her College Readiness courses integrate technology with the writing process.

Mr. Robertson received his Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University. He has been teaching Developmental English and Reading at WCJC for over twenty years, and currently has his office and classes at the Sugar Land campus. Mrs. Rod received her B.S. degree and teacher certification from Texas A&M University.  She taught high school for two years, and has been a full time instructor for Wharton County Junior College since 1998. Mrs. Rod currently teaches Math 0308 (Beginning Algebra) and Math 0312 (Intermediate Algebra).

Ms. Liu received an M.S. in Business Management from the London Business School Sloan Fellowship, an M.S. in Telecommunication and Networking from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a B.S. in Computer Science, from Missouri University of Science and Technology. She began teaching as an adjunct at WCJC in the fall of 2010 and became a full time faculty member in 2015. Ms. Liu teaches Math 0308, Math 0312, Math 1314, Math 1342, and NCBM 0300.

Mrs. Collins received an Associates Degree from Wharton County Junior College, a B.S. in Education from Southwest Texas State University and a Masters in Education from Prairie View University. She teaches Integrated Reading and Writing at WCJC and has been an adjunct faculty member at Wharton County Junior College since 1990.

Mr. Labay graduated from St. Mary University - San Antonio - with a B.A. in Mathematics. He earned his Master's Degree in Curriculum/Instruction from Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. Mr. Labay has been teaching for 25 years. His teaching experience includes teaching math on all levels. He is currently teaching Beginning and Intermediate Algebra at WCJC.

Mr. Shehni is a petroleum engineer and a certified mathematics teacher with 30 hours of graduate courses. Mr. Shehni is a retired teacher with 22 years of high school teaching experience. Mr. Shehni has taught over 10 years as a Beginning and Intermediate Algebra Instructor at WCJC.

Ms. Soliz hold a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Education from Angelo State University and is a Texas Certified Generalist (Pre K-4). She also holds a M.S. in School Administration from Sul Ross University. She has over 3 years public school teaching experience. She teaches Integrated Reading and Writing at WCJC.

Gail Whitaker, B.S.

Mrs. Whitaker holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from Prairie View A&M University. She taught Business Law, Accounting, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra for 32 years at Scarborough High School in the Houston Independent School District.  Mrs. Whitaker has taught Beginning and Intermediate Algebra at WCJC since 2005.
