Learning Assistance Centers

Wharton County Junior College offers free face-to-face tutoring for all current students through the Learning Assistance Centers. The Learning Assistance Centers may be found in the following locations:







10 am - 2 pm

Monday and Wednesday
2 pm - 5 pm

Tuesday and Thursday
1:30 pm - 5 pm

Thursday evening
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The labs are staffed by professional tutors who have been certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). These certified tutors are trained to assist students in the areas of READING, WRITING, and MATH. In many instances, they can also help students locate/utilize online resources to complement course content.
